The obvious benefit of walking Mendoza. It's so simple......

Avoid their best hitter. Next batter swings from the right side. Force at second or third base if ball is hit in the hole. Simple. Paul M. should be relieved of his coaching job. The horrible base running for several years is all on coaching.
Accountability is in play here for someone who makes a high dollars.

You set up the force at 3 bases in almost every situation except if a .170 9 hole hitter with below average speed and no power is up to bat.

He is not their best hitter!!!!! The on deck hitter hits for better avg and strikes out far less!!!! Do your damn homework!!!!
