there's suppose to be parking behind the HR bleachers. at least i think. now whether that parking is ready for opening day is another matter.

i heard they won't be able to tailgate there like they do now. which sucks. big time.

but my best friend got some of those new 3rd base line season tickets everyone is crying about so that's cool.

Honestly, it is a bit odd to bring in old seating for a new facility. I'm guessing they didn't save the old seats for the new upper decks in Tiger Stadium.

Nope, they didn't. I have a section of them at my house! We made a bench out of them.

i honestly find it hard to get into baseball and pay attention to the game unless it's gorilla ball. the games i went to and just tailgated the entire time far outweight the tims i actually went in the park.

I aggree somewhat,, I think it should be new seats for the premium price you are paying but I sit in section 119 and I also have to pay a tradition fund. Everyone is paying the tradition fund.

So much for bringing the atmosphere from the old box to the new box.

Is there a chart online that shows which sections of the stadium have TAF fees and which ones don't?
There's a chart in the relocation form which was on newalexbox.net. I just looked and it's not there anymore.

Not true.. I have pretty good seats in section 122 and do not have a TAF donation attached.. Total cost for 2 tickets yesterday for me was 435. (210 each ticket plus 35 app fee)

bnap I did think about the tailgating and such out there and I was close to pulling the trigger. But it just seems like an uncertainty on what people will be allowed to do out there. Ultimately they lost my 100 dollar donation though because the bleachers would not be new. Im sure someone else will pay for it though. It will be awesome no matter where you sit though.

Truth of the matter is though that for about 50% of the games you can pretty much sit anywhere anyways. Especially the early cold games. (Well maybe not the opener) I have been to most of the games in the last few years by getting tickets through marketplace and have sat in some very nice seats due to no shows.

That is a tough decision, the more parking the better, esp on a gameday, but then again I think the old box deserves better than that.

Any chance that article will limit the number of "the new box won't be ready" threads?
