Congrats to the coaching staff for the latest OLB recruit who chose LSU over Bama!
Please keep quiet! I love it

So to recap:
We were short handed in 2014 and lost to them.
Then Miles rebounded and beat them twice.
Then Orgeron took over in 2017 and immediately presided over the worst beating we’ve received from them in a series that dates back 120+ years.
And we’re just not objective if we don’t see that as a positive.

I think it's more that the O supporters get really loud when anything even slightly positive happens.
Even if it's fools gold, like getting a comittment from an unproven recruit 10 months before signing day.

Glad you said "we" and the team rebounded nicely last year after losses to Miss. State & Troy (took that one away) including a win over heavily favored Auburn. If we had a reliable FG kicker against ND, we finish the season at 10 - 3. I will always take a 10 win season.
I believe we beat Miami, what do you think?

We played Mississippi State on the road in 2015 and beat them. We played Mississippi state on the road in 2017 and got smashed by them. Perhaps we should wait for this falls game before we start guaranteeing that we’re going to be so much better. Of course, we couldn’t be much worse than we were in 2017 Miss St game.
Coach O has been on the LSU staff since 2015, he’s either been interim coach or head coach since 2016, and the last staff has had no involvement with LSU football for the past 21 games. The excuse of something pre-dating coach O is becoming more and more lame.
I agree that the program doesn’t appear to be “ tanking” at this time, but the program certainly does appear to be declining or at least plateauing at a level lower than what we wanted.
If an average of 10 wins a season wasn’t good enough before, nine or even eight wins this season also shouldn’t be good enough.

It’s sad threads like this exist over a verbal commitment. The program really is in a bad way if this is a gotcha moment for the o lovers. Long way to go before signing day. I hope this kids verbal sticks

Well we didn’t have one of those.

So now we're celebrating hypotheticals which didn't occur. Nice.

"Negatigers" have their finger on the pulse of Tiger nation. This is a fact.

they are grasping at straws at this point. you can sense the desperation in their posts

I will always take a 10 win season.
"10-win seasons" were a much bigger deal back during 11-game regular seasons and no conference championship games. So the max games team had was 12 (including the bowl game). So a 10-win season meant 10-2, and that was highly respected.
Now, with a 12-game regular season, a "10-win season" doesn't mean as much.
For example, we go 9-3 in the regular season, with lopsided losses to Bama, Auburn, and Florida. So we finish middle of the pack in conference, and go to a shitty bowl and win it. There's your magical 10 wins, but it doesn't mean a thing because we weren't even in the mix for the SEC.

Dude, I get it. I hate negatigers too, but really? We are celebrating the VERBAL commitment of a possible recruit? Are the goalposts safe if we beat Miss St this year?

And the Sunshine-Pumpers never bother to come comment when said child decommits prior to signing.

Lol what a retarded thread. Another groupie implying that those critical of O can’t possibly celebrate a commitment from a highly ranked recruit. You feed the fire with this dumb shite as much as any perceived “negatiger”

If ifs and buts were candies and nuts... we'd a national championship every year.

Maybe they're just realistic and thus don't have problems with picking up commitments..........................

And do you really believe 145 people downvoted this bc they disagree?
O haters gonna hate.

O pumpers have been beaten down to such low standards that they treat a recruiting commitment like a bowl win. This kind of stuff was EXPECTED with Les, now O needs to boast about it. That is serious insecurity.
