I disagree with this post. A1abama players know they got their collective asses whipped. That cheap shot artist (68 and owe you 1) is proof the Bama team was rattled and desperate.
Bama going into a playoff game with LSU gets blown the F out. They don't have the answer to the LSU Offense. And the mystique of A1abama is blown for this team.
Bama deserves to watch the CFP at home this year though. Why have Conference Champions if a team can backdoor in by begging like little bitches?
A simple rewrite of the rules, requiring a Conference Championship to reach the CFPs if you aligned with a conference will solve all this.

If they get in again without winning the SEC it’s time to do away with the championship game. It makes no sense to punish the better team.

I agree with this. But,if all they are looking for is the 4 best teams, then scrap the Conference championships all together and allow the 2 best conference teams the same time to rest up like those other teams get by not playing.
That then leaves the matter of Notre Dame that isn't in a conference? Should they be forced to join a conference and subject to an extra game (and possible loss) or be excluded from the playoff?
Well - we know that neither of those is going to happen so we stay with the original suggestion.

If the committee puts Bama in over any one loss conference champion they lose all credibility they have...

So, if we win out and send a message to the SEC - "Hey, we would like to just forfeit the SEC-CG. We're clearly one of the 4 best teams in football, so politely ask the selection committee to seed us and UGA to play in the semifinals. Sincerely, a resting LSU football team." - you would be okay with that?
