We’ve had them beat with horrible qb play only to lose in miraculous fashion.

Heck, their QB cried thinking he lost and still won.

yup...bc we only play one game a year. So paying a ton of $$ for a guy to coach one game makes all the sense in the world....dumbass

My OP was pretty much misinterpreted. I am not saying Canada was hired to only beat Alabama and forget about all the other games. What I am trying to say is that every year we have to go through Alabama to get to Atlanta and I think O went looking for an offensive coordinator who gave us the best chance of doing just that.

Years ago I read a post from Rivals asking the administration not to fire Gary Crowton. He was as disliked as Cam Cameron at the time of his firing.

The poster stated that Nick Saban could not defend his unique offense. If you look over Crowton's tenure, he had a winning record against Alabama.

So "the moment of truth" has come for Canada. He was hired for his unorthodox style. Maybe there is a chance as Jim Carrey once stated. We'll find out in 10 days.

quote:

Mettenberger had them beat were it not for a defensive collapse. It is possible for a pocket passer to beat Bama. That being said, I don’t think it happens this year due to our Oline and Dline play.
Mett was also throwing to two NFL pro-bowl WRs. That ain't us.
