I love it. So now Eagles fans are the gold standard for fan behavior in Tiger Stadium?

Clearly you can't handle the concept of context, can you?

I never said LSU fans should be more like Philly fans, nor did I imply it.

My point is this ... Tiger Stadium is a very special place, and it has nothing to do with the bricks and mortar. It has everything to do with the people that inhabit it on Saturdays in the fall. The fans are what made LSU what it is. This is not a spoiled fan base, far from it.

I still believe our offense gets on track to the tune of 350 yards a game plus and we all go crazy.

What is different these days is that any and every "loser-in-life's lottery" can say all the wrong things that hurt LSU's image and broadcast them to the world over the internet and hide away in their little rat hole and face no real consequences...and now the inmates are controlling the conversation....to LSUs detriment...and this site is the medium that carries it all.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld heckling episode.

Boobirds are POS that deserved to be skulldrug up and down the stands. It is disgusting and cowardly.
If you're displeased with the LSU QB, you should wait for midweek, between classes walk your chubby little asses over and look up to his face and scream boooooooooooo!!!!!!!!

This is as passionate a fanbase as you will ever come across

Passion is great when its exercised with some common sense which we didn't do last Saturday night.

We, the LSU fans, screwed up and our demonstration of poor sportsmanship we directed toward our own got picked up by TV and broadcast to the college football world.

We can now go into any cya mode we wish, but it's really pretty hard to explain away such a display of jerk like behavior.

I would suggest we just take the whipping like a man and try to see that it doesn't happen again, but I think some of us still don't get it.

I would submit to you that poor Quarterback play, pathetic coaching on the Offensive side of the ball, and a Head Coach who can't figure out when the clock starts and stops are doing far more to hurt LSU's national image than a fan run website dedicated to LSU athletics ever could. Holy shite, do you think complaining about the home team is some new concept?

So the fans are getting a little of their own medicine and complaining about it?

Actually, this fan run website is the perfect place to bitch and moan. Ditto for talk radio (the only organized public forum we had before the Internet). Fine and dandy, bitch all you want. And I'll dish it right back to you while defending your right to rant. But booing at our players and coaches during the game is ridiculous. I don't remember anyone booing our own team during Stovall's struggles back in the 80s and if you had, you probably would have gotten your arse kicked. Nobody dresses up in Tiger Stadium anymore either... I realize times have changed but there once was a time when people went to the game to show their SUPPORT and not to vent their rage at the players and coaches.

Lonnie - I'm with you on the booing. I don't like it, either.

I just have a hard time accepting that this as a "spoiled" or "bad" fanbase. That's so far from accurate, it's not even funny.

Les needs to treat the fans with a little more respect. These are good folks, who have a right to be upset. They are frustrated, and for good reason. They can smell a rat, and they know bad football when they see it. We have been bad on the offensive side of the ball for way too long, and they see nothing being done or tried to suggest that anything is being done about it.

As I've said before, for most of these scholars, their entire self worth hinges on the adherence of the program to their ideas of success.

Unlike the higher order species on this planet, these apes masquerading as fans gain a masochistic a high by degrading 20 y/o kids.

"I criticize belligerently because I love them so much." In the forensic psychiatric world, we call that sociopathic, and the apology of a seriel killer.

This website is a simple comparison of those have evolved to a higher order thinking and lsu football is merely a hobby like seeing a film, and those whose life is totally wrapped up in a game played
by children
"If they can fight in a war then they aren't kids." No, you find 18 year olds in most the dangerous positions on a battlefield because they are 1) unqualified to be elsewhere 2) willing to charge a fox hole
on foot.

So what's the bottomline: at best these folks are pitiful souls who need to read a book, or at worst sociopaths who'll be in the news.

18 and older men and women are in "dangerous positions on a battlefield" and charge fox holes cause they believe in duty, honor, and country.

I, for one, am damn glad they do.

We, the lsu fans, are the ones who want to be on the inside with lsu when they get praised. But when lsu does bad, most of us wanna stand on the outside and point fingers along with the media. Well, im stayin ok the inside. Lsu is not performing and neither are we as fans. Gotta take the lumps now if you wanna be praised later

Having a qb that can't throw a simple screen pass and a coach that's too chickenshit to try option B does tenfold the damage that booing does to erode confidence

Les has said over and over JJ is the best man for the job.
Maybe option B isn't really an option.
I would like to see what JL could or couldn't do also, but maybe he isn't ready, maybe he is.

Booing won't solve out offensive problems, it will just make it worse. Worse for recruiting, worse for production and worse for National Exposure

The significant number of fans booing are absolute trash and deserve the ridicule. LSU fans deserve their reputation. I find it amusing as hell you people boo, what appears to be the QB and then bitch like hell when you are called out for it.

This is fricking ludicrous. How has he disrespected the fans? By calling out those boo'ing the team? Because he doesn't pander to the fickle wishes expressed on this board?

Dude,

It's called the First Amendmnt. Relax. When our offense plays better they'll say nicer things about us. That's how it works.
