The loss will benefit LSU.

They’ll go into the regional with momentum but also a chip on their shoulder. Everyone in the lineup has room for improvement, so the next few weeks should be fun. LSU is playing pretty damn good right now.

Probably not but I wanted it for them. They have been battling all year long and coming up 1 run short sucks. Impressive run nonetheless.

Think seeing guys like hellmers, loer, Dutton, pitch so well in short work makes me really get excited about a game 3 to go to supers and if we get to Omaha, have a real shot at a run!

Absolutely, but one thing is Tennessee exposed how they will attack lsu and they can make that adjustment.

Look…the sky isn’t falling because of this and if someone had told me going in that UT would only plate 4 runs (3 of which were on a HR), I’d have been ecstatic.
But the Vols shut down an LSU team averaging around 10 runs per game in this tournament without their top pitchers. It happens. Whatever. It should be double elimination anyway.
But winning begets winning and losing begets losing. I don’t think this is necessarily the end of the world, but it’s crazy to call any loss a good thing.
