The Les ordeal actually changed my mind too: Should have just fired him

When I first heard we were going to fire miles, I thought it was crazy. After having two weeks to think about it, I got really comfortable with the idea of change. I love Les as a person but thought that maybe change was good for everyone. I think this whole shitshow really did change public perception and the overreaction emotional decision wasn't made when we decided it was time to make a change, it happened last night when we decided to keep Les.

This is like a bad relationship that just "took a break" and the thought of missing the good times reeled you back into a dysfunctional headache. Not long from now this relationship will still have the same problems and you'll realize you should have just pulled the dam trigger the first time.

Keeping les was like 2 people wanting to divorce each other but they stay together for the kids

The way I see it, and is a repeat of something I put in another thread:

LSU and its base just went all-in, for better or worse, but just bet the mortgage and grandma's medicine on Les Miles breaking with his very well established history and stubborness.

If anyone saw an indication that's going to happen, please post video or a link next to the definitive proof of Bigfoot and those pics of me going anal on Kate Beckinsale.

But what if it doesn't? What if Les really does acknowledge, as he said last night, that they need to change the offense up? What if our record continues to improve as it did this year?

So you're one of the "just blow the whole thing up" people. Alabama got their guy before they fired the other one. Ohio St. got their guy before they fired the other one. Always leave it to the uninformed to just shoot from the hip without a plan in this day and age. What part of they couldn't get Jimbo did you miss? They could have fired him 2 or 3 weeks ago and still would not have had another option ready to announce.

The framework of this change was centered around bringing in another proven commodity and it didn't work out. Alexander listened to the plan and let Alleva go do the work and stayed out of it until it fell apart, IMO. All I could suggest is the next time someone tries this, don't pick a Jimmy Sexton guy.

From the beginning of this nightmare I have said Les deserves another season, he has earned it. In other news, it looks like Brandon Harris has regressed, I got home from work late last night and had the games DVRd, I watched it super quickly, but from what I saw, he looked really bad last night, Jennings bad. I hope my perception of him is wrong, if not, we are in trouble.

Did those ADs leave the other guy twisting in the wind so that they looked like clueless buffoons if the coup didn't work, or did they pay lip service to the guy so as not to hang themselves and the program if he stuck around??

I'll hang up and listen.

And perfectly said OP. As a huge Miles fan, I was utterly deflated last night after being on a high watching Les' last moments in Tiger Stadium. I couldn't believe Alleva let this all go down and then pussed out and couldn't make the shot he'd been calling for two weeks.

frick that pussy limp dick snake.

This thinking is asinine. I think it's accurate but ignorant.
