The Kelly Opportunity

He's 60. If Saban is still hitting on all cylinders at 70, Kelly has a 6-12 year opportunity window in front of him.
The staff he is assembling, AND THE MATURE WAY HE IS ASSEMBLING IT, represents a breath of fresh air to those who have not been enamored with the last ~15 years (in general).
The Recruiting team that the staff possesses is heavy on Louisiana natives, and complimented with a strong national level ofrecruiting diversity.
LSU will build a multi-year roster of highly touted/rated Offensive Linemen and QBs...Which are the areas of most consistent complaints over the last two tenures.
And the rest of the roster will continue to be Natty-level.
No doubt, that he and Woodward talked these very elements in the process of influencing Kelly to come to LSU.
Cause now, Kelly has his first legit chance to coach a team to a Natty, and the Tiger Nation won't have to feel they are playing with one hand tied behind their back too often.
The process is being established.
The culture is being established.
The Kelly Opportunity is super exciting.

No year in the past 15 years has made you happy?
No event?
Nothing?

I was in Boone nc yesterday.
Went from 70 degrees to snow in 24 hours.
That’s about how fast Ed destroyed lsu.
39 scholarship players.
So glad Kelly is here.

The NCAA will step in soon enough. Or Universities will wise up and start pushing towards legally binding contracts instead of just scholarships. I don’t mind NIL, but the transfer portal has to die if you’re going to maintain NIL.

Both are bad for college sports.
Like many, I will continue to watch until it becomes a complete dung show and then I will divest myself of interest in most college sports.
