Not past 6th grade, too slow
OK. so you have no basis for your critique other than watching football on the couch while eating cheetos.
That said, you have no idea what the circumstances were on each run. I know many were against bama on short yardage plays. He jumped forward into a pile, obtaining the necessary yardage. Other options would be to bury his head in the pile, get pushed back and lose yardage would would have forced a punt. The next option would be to bounce it outside and risk losing even more yardage. Running east/west has proven to be a costly mistake by many.
I dont recall him jumping into the pile unless it was short yardage. He is trying to ensure the 1st down. I take that all day. I do recall his 1st run of the bama game he pointlessly jumped in the air by the sideline. He should have stepped out of bounds. All he did was risk injury. I'm not complaining though, he is the most effective runner we have had since Addai (my opinion).
I really think you are over critiquing the kid. I would think the coaches would address this if he was doing this in the wrong situations. I trust their judgement.
Like I said before, the down and distance seems to dictate when he has done it and it usually is to get above and beyond a log jam of interior lineman to move the chains.

Anyone else notice that Hill tends to leap at the end of runs?
could have been trying to protect his ankle. I just wish he hit the hole a step quicker. very good back with a very good future. hopefully we just tapped his potential this year.

Just so we are clear. We are in a thread about one specific pattern that Hill has begun. Nothing else has been said to whether he is our best back, or if he will win the Heisman next year.
Leaping in the air is a bad idea, that is my position in a thread specifically about leaping in the air.
And somehow it has become a show your resume, name calling shite show. I am trying to figure out who you are, and it must be a past LSU running back, or you would surely not have an opinoin. Right.
And I hate fricking cheetos, makes my dick orange.

I just want to know more about the man who thinks he knows more about football than Jeremy Hill and Frank Wilson.

picking out ONE of the many intricacies of the RB position just because you think it is "a bad idea"
is ridiculous.
Since you don't know what hill sees when he runs or what the play was designed to do, then critiquing it is near impossible.
**if the ball is on the LSU's 28 yd line on 3rd and 2 and pre-snap hill has his eyes on the 30 yd line, I'm sure his singular focus is to do what it takes to get to the 30 yd line and move the chains. Sure, he could possibly bust for a long gain by pussy footing through, trying to make someone miss, burying his head into the pile or bouncing it to the outside but there is an even bigger chance of not moving the chains. I'm sure he is coached that way. 1st downs lead to touchdowns.
I applaud him for knowing game situations and having the awareness to convert on those situations. Awareness is a huge part of being a great football player. more so than 40 time and vertical leap. Ask Jacob Hester.
stop posting.

I didnt pick it out goof, the thread is ABOUT that.
ok, now I quit. You never answered when you played at LSU.

you really think I'm going to tell you when I played? All that would accomplish would be to bring all the idiots out of hiding telling me to "gtfo" ect ect.
Also, I never said I played at LSU. Those were your words. Maybe I did, maybe I didnt. Lets just say I have walked a mile in hill's shoes, am qualified to speak on the RB position in length, but also admit I wont criticize other intricate techniques such as a lineman's footwork or a QB's read progression as I have never played those positions
