I don't think we'll win out, nor was I responding to your post. I quoted what I was responding to, and what we needed to do to move up in the polls and make the playoffs.
And that isn't irrational, that is unrealistic. If LSU wins out, will we not make the playoffs? The logic is sound.

We didn't add horrendous special teams; they were horrendous last year. In fact, our special teams play against Wisconsin was an improvement over last year.
Against Wisky we had one horrible kickoff and two horrible punts. Last year we had that every game, plus we couldn't cover kickoffs or punts.
