How did your coach do things?
Would you stop with this shite! THis is in 90%+ of your posts and has absolutely nothing to do with any part of this discussion.
BTW: My coach was fricking tard! If he did it one way, I would suggestion that LSU or any other team do it the complete opposite if the want to be successful.

No they didn't! I saw the games and know better. You pulled that out of your arse.
They did it this year because JJ was too confused to check into a better play and constantly missed open receivers as he did not know progressions.
I expect he will be much better next year.

Give me a reason to take you seriously, because you are really not very good at formulating arguments.
I'm off to work. I'll check this thread on my lunch break. Try harder next time.
k bye

By the end of the season he looked better than at the beginning.
Again...are you sure that you were watching the Jefferson that QBs for LSU? Because there has been no improvement at all.

People usually say this when the stats put the lie to their point.
Wow, just wow. No dumb arse! Stats never tell the whole story especially when you look at a single stat in a vacuum. Stats can be massaged to say whatever someone wants. Look at the whole story, and the whole team. I have never said that JJ was shitty, but you need to stop making him out to be an All American!

Time to get your head out of your arse. You have just shown that you are arguing out of emotion, not reason.

Just a minute ago JJ was a large part of LSU losing, now it is the team. You are almost to the right answer, just keep down that path.
quote:Oh, so now I'm making him out to be an All American? By showing he finished 38th in pass efficiency?

Really?

You were one of the Flute players who wanted Fisher gone were you not?

Jimbo had J Russell at QB including Bowe,Davis, and Doucet as receivers. I think all were first round pics.
I'll give you a hint: rhymes with coaching.

your right that the coaches arent doing their jobs very well, but how do you explain having all that talent, ranked 109th in the nation in O, with a Coord who won a NT?
I believe it was a combo, or poor play calling, (to protect JJ)
Poor play by JJ
and Poor Line play

The trend spans 3 different quarterbacks. Our passing numbers were in decline DURING the BCS Championship year.

to protect JJ
Crowton was trying to protect his own arse. He was terrified for his job after the shitburger of a season that Jarret Lee had. He hid Jefferson to try to save his own arse.
That is not Jefferson's fault, try as you might.

Poor play by JJ

Poor Line play

this is the right answer.
I do not understand why we all just can't agree on the above statement.

What percentage of all the sacks would you say were 100% Jefferson's fault?
I'll say that it's around 50/50, but that's a gut check. One particular sack (in a loss, either Bama or Ole Miss) that, in real time, looked to be JJ's fault, when I watched the replay, he got to the end of his drop and there was a hand on his shoulder - he tried to get away, but he was down so fast. I don't know if that's the OL, or that the defender just made a great play, but it couldn't be the QB's fault if he couldn't even complete his drop.
Having said that, he did take a lot of sacks where he should have just thrown the ball away.

chicot i played div 1 football. What did you play? Also people that sit there and say stats don't tell the story usually say that when the stats don't prove their point. Bottom line is jj put up matt flynn stats with no running game and a horrible o line. Say whatever you want but there was seldom a pocket made for jj. Yes he need better povket awareness but to say he did/lt improve at all over the season show complete ignorance on your part. Sorry bruh the truth is that not many qbs could have been productive in jj's situation. Bama fans are in love with maelroy and jj put up identical numbers to him. That was with a dominat run game and dominate o line. So tell me chicot what position did you play in football. Tell me
