He made a decision to secure himself financially at LSU's expense. Your attempt to add nuance to it doesn't change what happened.

Him being more dedicated to a non-paying full time job when he's a financially secure 30+ year old shouldn't draw praise compared to guys still looking to earn their first paycheck.

I missed the part where A) I said I wouldn't do what he did or B) I said he did something wrong.

Pointing out the idiots with inconsistent views seems to have ruffled some feathers.

And I haven't even called anyone racist.

I mean.... he's a punter. At LSU's expense? Not really. LSU could go and recruit another punter, you cannot fill the void of people you're depending on to start the year when they leave outright. Its not the same.

Being on the team, in the meetings, and the biggest is TAKING REPS FROM OTHER PLAYERS is a bigger deal than not signing with the team as a HS recruit. Its just not dude.

You seem to have a misunderstanding of what ZVR did out of high school. He didn't choose baseball over football. He chose pro baseball over LSU baseball. I won't get into to the he said/he said from that time regarding what he allegedly told the coaches.

But he absolutely leveraged LSU to secure himself financially and left LSU hanging by signing pro.

How you rank that compared to football players making the same decision is immaterial to me. It's still the same decision, so it's disingenuous to glorify one person and vilify others.

Right. I understood that.

It's not the same tho. Its like saying breaking up with a GF is the same as a divorce. There's so much more that goes into being ON the team and in practice than just decided to not be on the team in the first place.

I also don't care how you rank that.

also, Im not glorifying him, just pointing out my opinion. I don't think you can say he is MOST committed to LSU.

Just enjoying your conversation.
