The sooner a new president comes the better off for LSU Athletics.
I don’t see Kelly going anywhere until a president is named.
The best we can hope for in the short term is for Sloan to go. Let Van Buren play and at least be competitive against Bama and OU and salvage a bowl game.
Two weeks ago I didn’t think Kelly would be fired this year. The last two weeks changed my mind.

LSU has always been grossly underfunded by the state. The campus library is easily the most embarrassing building in the SEC. And yet, millions are poured into athletics. And while I understand the two sides are funded differently, Landry sees LSU as wasteful with finances.

the history of the LSU BOS and LSU Athletics is pretty spotty
the BOS are all political people appointed in a political process by a politician
Collis Temple was the loudest voice in the media for Mel Tucker, what a disaster that would have been
we really need a strong pro-athletics LSU President to be named quickly to weather this storm

Landry would commit political suicide if he ever forces LSU to hire the wrong coach.If he hires a new president and lets him and the BOS hire the new coach the coach better be great or in 3 years he will be a regular citizen again .
