Nothing. If there’s not a cap, college football will just become a watered down NFL. I already know people who stopped buying season tickets because they’re just not into it anymore. Tiger Stadium will always sell out, I’m still interested for the time being, but it’s changing. Then this Knight a-hole is making us all look poor.
It’s one thing to pay the players something nice. It’s another thing to have some of these players make more than the NFL minimum before they’ve played a down.
To add to the college facade, the professors are in a tough spot too. Who’s gonna want to be the one professor who’s the reason a star football player is on academic suspension?

All a cap will do is drive the extra benefits back in the dark. Dont kid yourselves…it will never be a level playing field or “fair.” Never was, never will.

I wonder how much of this is even academics anymore, they are coming to play football not school.
