Pittsburgh, behind one of the nation's worst OLines, ran all over the swiss cheese Irish D. Notre Dame's D is soft up front, and Bama will exploit that and pound it down their throats.

Alabama ran roughshod, whenever they damn well felt like it, over the middle of Georgia's defense. Manti Te'o cannot singlehandedly negate the efficacy of Alabama's offensive line. Notre Dame will need clutch turnovers and a lot of luck to win this one.

That said, Geaux Irish.

That's because UGA's running defense is awful.

Why exactly should Alabama "destroy" Notre Dame

I don't think this is as much about Alabama's Offense vs. ND Defense as it is the other way around.

I think Bama's O will have moderate success against the ND defense - 17-28 points or so.

The place where I think ND is in trouble is on offense. Georgia had success running the ball somewhat, but that was because Bama was focused on stopping Murray through the air. ND doesn't bring any sort of passing threat, and I think Bama will stuff the run.

I hope I am wrong, but I just don't see a way the Irish score any more than 10.

ND not seen speed on D like SEC/Bama

newsflash, bro. Alabama has given up 435, 418 and 394 yards to the only offenses they've faced this season with a pulse.

And Alabama hasn't seen anyone of the receiving ability of that of Notre Dame's Tyler Eifert.

do you not know who Tyler Eifert is?

Riddick is going to be a tough cover when he lines up in the slot.

T.J. Jones is a solid outside WR

George Atkinson is probably the fastest guy when he steps on the field

Cierre Wood is a really good player at TB for the Irish as well.

Not to mention Notre Dame has a really good, experienced Offensive Line led by Zack Martin

Exactly. Even after these performances against teams with a pulse, people are still looking at them like they're unstoppable.

Like I said, they ran for more than 300 yards on the ground and STILL had to fight at the end to win the game.

That's not a good sign, IMO.

But this is the biggest mismatch since 2001 Miami vs Nebraska

This is an absolutely stupid comparison. First of all 2001 Miami was one of the greatest teams of all time. This Bama team is nothing special. They are good, but played 3 good teams and struggled with all 3.

If you want to compare it to a past BCS game, its more like 2002. Notre Dame is a lot like 2002 Ohio State.

I honestly can't wait to see when ND matches up Eifert with Deion Belue. Hilarity will ensue.

I don't get this whole "Bama is going to trash ND" thought process.

SEC bias, pure and simple. Go back to August and most of these same people argued A&M could not compete in the SEC with that offense. Its Bama and Saban, so they have a dominating D of course right? Never mind that the 3 decent teams they have played moved the ball all over them, but people still think they have an impenetrable defense.

And we will also see if Bama can contain the pocket against Golson and negate his running.

People should watch some of ND's games before writing them off. Technically they do match up with Bama. And, five weeks of hearing how they don't have a chance gives them the intangible advantage.

And, Brian Kelly is a good in game coach that won't make decisions to hurt his team.

That being said, I'd bet on Bama in a close one if were a gambling man.

It's amazing how myth's persist. Florida had fast DE's, too fast for tOSU. Bama's D is not like that. They are huge, especially their LB's.
