The 2000 team had more talent and less holes than this team

I am as disappointed in the loss as anyone else, but people need to be a bit more realistic in where LSU was left at with O’s disaster last year.
A large blame for that goes to Woodward as well, so don’t get me wrong.
Kelly and his staff deserve a ton of criticism for the product last night and the loss, but this team is a major rebuild with less talent than the 2000 team, especially at key positions. It will take a little time, but they will be competitive again.

More talent… probably not. LSU had 5+ first rounders playing last night.

First game with new coach, assistants and transfer players; give them a break. They will build on that 4th quarter and be fine.

And that doesn't even consider that your consensus best player, Boutte, looked like he didn't even want to be in the field.
Overall, this team is less talented.

fricking easily.
We are similar to a team playing with death penalty level sanctions when it comes to the scholarship players on the roster right now.
Factor in freshmen and transfers and this is basically a starting from scratch situation.
