The 10 teams that played in P5 Conf Champ games

2. Georgia - lost to LSU
3. Oklahoma - lost to LSU
4. Baylor - all 3 losses to teams LSU beat
5. Clemson - Lost to LSU
6. Virginia - lost to two teams LSU beat
7. Ohio St - only loss to team LSU beat
8. Wisconsin - outlier, but 3 losses to teams that lost to teams LSU beat
9. Oregon - lost to team LSU beat
10. Utah - lost to team LSU beat

If you use the Wisconsin route I used above, then there are obviously a ton.
But for all but one of the conf champ participants to be 1 degree of separation seems noteworthy.

There is no power five.
There’s the SEC, the group of six (ACC, B1G, B12, PAC12, MW and AAC), and the Group of 4.
Those are the three tiers. Let’s not pretend 4 conferences that have won fewer titles combined than the SEC has over the past quarter-century are in the same tier as daddy. Every other metric confirms that the SEC is way ahead of everyone else, and that it’s not close.
