I was surrounded by people who didn't know a lot about football and nobody understood just how great of a pass that was. It was frustrating a little bit
This describes most LSU fans!

Jennings is neither a good Passer or runner

At least we know there are more formations in the offense. Les allows Cam to control the O when we get in a hole. If the game is in the balance, it's power I.

Left hash, 21 yard out to the ride side line, dropping it between 2 defenders, and on a rope. Thats an NFL throw right there and a true freshman having the arm strength, and most of all, confidence to step in and make that throw in a huge moment for us. And make it look easy.
Mett was great at that throw, but Im not sure he could make that throw as a true freshman in that moment.
Jennings throws that, its an INT. He just doesnt have the arm strength to do that. The only thing that Jennings does above average is he throws a nice touch pass, thats it. That ball would have been as easy pick for either defenders to get to.

Sure was. That was a veteran throw right there too. Not saying is- I know he's not, but I honestly couldn't believe how well that play was executed. Perfectly efficient.
One thing to also notice is just how quick his drop back is. I'm just as impressed with his footwork on that play as the dart he threw. That would help the OL tremendously and create even more opportunities to scramble.

Dang right. I was at the game until the end. What was left of Tiger Stadium saw something special that night. Brandon Harris is our starter, right now. Anthony Jennings is our backup. You are absolutely right. After the second touchdown was thrown, the game was definitely "afoot". He made better decisions, keeping his head up the field and looking for second and third options, while making better throws as well. He gives himself more time to throw due to his elusiveness. The kid can flat play. Right now. With him as starter now, we will be a more competitive team THIS YEAR. Period.
