This thread brings to mind that stupid commercial that played online during the game all night with the student athletes daring us to say something to their face. What is that commercial even about. Who is talking about these people? I mean other than the Rant. But I firmly believe most would tell this guy to his face he is reprehensible.

I think the OSU fan base is just rationalizing.
I don't think all the fans Defend the decision. I was at that Benny's house forum and there were some posters that were pretty reasonable about the situation. I think deep down that they're all embarrassed about it but they're torn between that and their love of their team.
I'm not justifying the rationalization I'm just saying I think it makes it easier for them to fool themselves and compromise their moral credibility when their team is successful but happens to have a diddly doo spittin fire on the mound.
