I was at that game as well……Joe B Hall right?
Macy came off a double screen and hit it at the buzzer!

Same score , but a week later the Astronaut went off and they won the only SEC tournament in the history of LSU men's basketball.

I was there. I was in high school, went with my brother and his girlfriend.
He was only able to get two tickets.
But he was a student manager or something at the Union and knew the ones who worked the Assembly Center.
He had me and his girlfriend go in the ticket entrances while he went down and a buddy of his let him in somewhere on the ground floor. He came and met us and sat in the seat and his girlfriend sat on his lap the whole game.
It was extremely tense for me the whole time.
Went into overtime. When Sam Bowie missed the front end of a one and one LSU went into the old Dale Brown 4 Corners.
I couldn't hardly stand it.
Finally Sam Bowie tied up Greg Cook on a five second call and then won the tip with about 30 seconds left.
Then Kyle Macy ended it.
What a game, I will never forget. I think the non-wood floor they had back then was cool.

I was there, too. Macy was an LSU basketball nightmare.

We didn't play our best game that day either. We played much better in beating Kentucky in Rupp that year and in the finals of the SEC Tourney.
Dale started doing his four corners crap mins at the end of regulation at the PMAC, our sweat dried. Should not have come to even an opportunity for Macy to hit the game winner.
