This game could keep you out of the playoffs even if you win your conference.

Honestly, their rB catches that TD pass in the first quarter and its a different game,.

We dropped a pass in the end zone, too.
Honestly, if CEH catches the pass on third down on the first drive of the third quarter, we break them in the drive.

So if LSU loses to bama and finishes 11-1. Do you think Texas gets in ahead of LSU?

Say you lose one game in conference but still win your conference. Would you get in over LSU?

I’m friends with a lot of UT fans and have been texting with several of them tonight. The gist of it:

- They still aren’t quite “back” but their performance shows they’re getting close and UGA wasn’t a fluke.

- LSU’s offense is championship caliber. Orlando threw everything at them and they didn’t bat an eye.

- Cramps/injuries are expected, but it did become excessive. Ultimately they didn’t impact the games though. (Even LSU fans should think the injuries were excessive, even if they were all legit. They made a mistake in not prepping them during halftime)

- UT’s offense is championship caliber, but their defense at this point is no where close. OU may hang 60+ on them.

Naw, doubtful he gets the first down. That drop by their guy was crucial. Show me where we dropped a pass in the end zone.

As a Tiger fan in the Omaha area... there's no difference between online personas and our following in the Heartland. Just realize your humor (or sarcasm) won't be well received in a matter that both teams (fanbases) consider a serious matter. The game is/was a 2019 instant classic, let's all take pride in that... regardless of outcome.

You've already stated that it was a hard fought game by both teams... Amen Brother!

Chase dropped a fade route in the corner of the end zone. That said, LSU still scored a TD that drive, so it’s not comparable to the UT drop.

Yea. i never saw a definitive view where the ball hit the ground. Maybe it was a CBS shite coverage or maybe it hit. But I never saw it.

Yes because we would have 2 wins over a highly ranked OU

I dont make the rules just go by them...texas doesnt get left out as a 1 loss team...see ohio over tcu

What about if we beat bama and they finish the season at 11-1?

Y'all got some work to do because bama would still finish the season at #4.

What's the joke? Maybe I'm missing it because it's 3 am.

Nobody is downvoting because you said no excuses. They are downvoting because you said it doesn't matter.

Eta: you're talking about baseball. Ok, cute joke that has nothing to do with baseball.

Indeed, it was a fun game... and thank you for a respectful response. Don't pay attention to downvotes, they're just half-drunk emotions via electrons.

In regards to CWS and football, both teams have extremely high expectations and history on the diamond. The gridiron is a very welcomed rise by both teams at the same time. Both fanbases should take great pride in the legitimate national stage recognition for our football programs.

Much respect for the Longhorns, the atmosphere in Austin, and the fact both teams are worthy of game of the week attention. Congrats on a "damn strong" football team. We're both back...

Thats the joke....

Georgia talked trash...lost...didnt want to be there, didnt matter

Bama vs ou in bowl...lost...didnt matter, didnt want be there

Pretty much any bowl...
and i said in pre game chat that both teams can still win out and win conference after this game so that played into it not mattering either....the tongue in cheek should have been plainly obvious in a thread about longhorn excuse for losing

Well again, I think the game matters a ton. Y'all aren't getting in over Clemson or the big10 champ. And if LSU and bama finish ahead of you you may not get ahead of either. It's a long season and maybe it won't matter, but this puts you in a bad spot even if you win out.
