We're gonna have to figure out how to win games while scoring only 4 runs on Fri nights in the SEC.
I've said all along I really don't like relying on so many pitchers to get through a game in college. You're far too prone to guys having an off night and coming in and walking batters. You're not going to find 10-15 college pitchers on one roster with the kind of consistency you need to play that way.
With all that said if the defense gets its act together we can win with 4 runs on Fri nights

We obviously have some very talented hitters. We all know hitting can be funny, though. Whole teams can go cold against some ho hum pitcher sometimes. For all their talents, the hitters are slightly underperforming. Am I expecting us to score like we did against Maine? Hell no. It just feels like they haven’t put it together yet.
We should have put about 8 runs last night.
On the flip side, defense definitely let us down. Our pitchers threw well enough to get a W if we play clean defense.
