The Milwaukee series and the Jacksonville tournament seem ages ago. Amazing how quickly things went south

It's frustrating because this team has talent on it.

They have the talent of a 2026 middle of the road SEC team. Yall forget how talented everyone else is these days.

That Curiel wasn’t bad at the plate and occasionally in the field for the first 1/3 of the season?

He wasn't bad, mediocre, maybe, but not bad, and he was hitting the ball well, just right at folks. He's much better now.

Our best players have not consistently delivered this year- very similar to A&M’s returning guys from an Omaha runner-up team last season.

This is true

ETA: error free SS who is hitting 272 is a fricking weird hill to die on

You completely missed the point. It had nothing to do with this season. No one on this team is irreplaceable. No one. Not the way we’ve played.

As awesome as Milam is in the field, we lead the SEC in errors because the rest of the infield hasn’t been consistently good. We would be better defensively with 4 very good guys playing their roles over one 1st round draft pick at SS with the rest of what we’ve seen this year. Part of the reason we shift so fricking much is to hide guys or try to pre-position them for plays they aren’t fast enough to make.

Again, as much as I loathe A&M, they are a great example of how a team can be completely flipped from disappointment in one offseason with the right moves.

Agreed, but he was playing far below what was expected based on his freshman season performance. He missed at least one catch that a player of his caliber should make that flat-out cost us a game.

Who? I highly doubt many will. Maybe none.

I’m not saying these guys will leave but the all definitely could: Yamin, Hardin, Cooper Williams, Primeaux, Caraway. Then you always have you wildcard freshmen like Clauss, Patrick, Ruckert, etc. I’d bet at least 1-2 of the people I named leave.
