Baffles me how fans can’t separate the anomaly from the trend. Outside of one fluke inning, LSU has gotten its shite pushed in for 2 straight games.

You take away the 8th inning tonight and this game is tied. What’s the point? The inning happened.

Both teams have a 6-1 inning in their favor in the series. Outside of that, it’s been 5-2. That’s hardly “domination”.

Tennessee has also stranded a ton if runners, it could be way worse. Lsu has never threatened them.

5 runs scored in 16 innings isn’t dominating.

Some of y’all think that LSU never lost during the Bertman years. We lost. We didn’t sweep every series and I know this will come as a shock, but we got swept sometimes and lost a shite ton of midweek games.

You expect too much. The mouth breathing baseball casuals here can’t understand that kind of context.

If not for the miracle 9th they would be going for the sweep

We might as well just go out and win the series so you can spout why we should not have won.

The object of the game is to outscore your opponent, not outhit them.

I can count on on hand the games I've missed since the late 80s, either in person, TV, or radio. I think we are in trouble without someone stepping up in the pen ASAP....and I just don't know is close to doing that.

This. They are so caught up on the final scores, they fail to notice the amount of opportunities Tennessee has had to score vs. LSU’s chances. That’s not a good trend going into game 3.

And good defense and pitching cancelled a lot of that out last night and through 7 tonight. I know that doesn’t matter to someone who doesn’t know shite about baseball, but it decides games.

It 100% decided last night’s game because UT fricked up on defense and left the door open while we made all of the plays needed to strand base runners. It’s really fricking simple. How can you not fricking understand that?

No one is saying that LSU is playing great right now, but your “domination” is fiction.

serious question, what do you see in this team that makes you think they are making a deep run?

Why can’t you see that this not a very good team?

So……dare I say Tennessee sucks at scoring with RISP?

I don’t disagree. This isn’t all that dissimilar a situation from this point in 23. We didn’t have a reliable Sunday pitcher, Shores and Noot were injured and the bullpen was almost as unreliable. And then a few guys stepped up enough for us to make a run. So it can happen.

If you recall, we gave up a 9 run lead vs State Mother’s Day weekend with a revolving door pen giving the game away, so it was an issue even deeper into that season than where we are right now.
