We won, on the road 2500 miles away, in the first game of the year.

OSU- struggled at home against a service academy
PSU- didnt exactly blow away an inferior opponent at home
OU- lost, albeit to a better team than UW
etc.

Before I jump off the bridge like most have, I'll wait and see what UW does against other teams and how we do the next few weeks

rapport between jefferson and toliver

keiland running well

jefferson on the run (didnt like seeing him get nailed a couple of times though)

trindon as a rb

randle on the field

josh downs

coleman and peterson

chris hawkins did well too

t-bob with a pretty good game in his first start and coming off a knee injury

both sides of the ball had moments where they really turned it on

i can only imagine we'll see more of lafell and dickson as the weeks go by (not to mention shep, wild something or other)

Elleshoe,
1 being worst and 10 being best, where do you put LSU as a whole tonight after they had all summer to get this shite right?

S, I was pretty disappointed in the playcalling on both sides of the ball. I thought to begin the game the corners played way too far off. The offense didn't take enough chances in the throwing game for whatever reason. They had success going to TT and Lafell.

I don't think any outside linebacker, Coleman included, played well. Those runs bounced to the outside gashing LSU's Defense for huge chunks of yards were due to the outside backers and DE's not keeping any kind of containment on the play. And it happened more than 10 times I would guess.

I hated how our players/coaches didn't seem to adjust at all. In watching, shite looked simple.

UW offense: go as far outside as you can. We kept pursuing as far inside as we could, so constantly everything (even the damn QB) just ran right by us. We finally started to cut them off on the outside midway through the third (though not always) and would knock the shite out of them when we did.

Our defense was playing 15 damn yards off again, and would run down field faster than their WRs. This led to wide open cut backs all day.

LSU offense: For a good 75% of the game, if we were in I-form or Pistol, they crashed the middle as hard as they could. If we ran the QB read, they crashed the corners in on JJ. We were read more than a coloring book in an Alabama library. We opened up finally in the 2nd half a bit and started throwing past the blitzers on the outside, and running up the middle out of the QB read, and it worked great.

The goods were definitely Peterson and Tolliver though.

Jefferson did just fine. He didn't turn the ball over and he maintained his composure. He made some good runs and threw three touchdown passes. Not bad for a 19 year old. The game plan was obviously very conservative.

Tolliver showed why he may have a break out year.

Peterson lived up to the hype tonight.

Cutrera obviously made the biggest defensive play, maybe the biggest play of the game.

Our third down defense was atrocious. We did not contain Locker and didn't get enough pressure on him either. Our run defense got some good plays, but at other times looked very porous.

KW looked pretty solid. Scott didn't have a good night.

If we don't see serious defensive improvement, it will be another long season.

for real

The one thing Derby Tigah has been right about in 3 years is that Riley and Sheppard suck

What impressed me the most tonight was Jefferson's decision making when he was under heavy pressure. He would escape the rush and throw the ball away instead of trying to force it. I know that he had one pass that was almost picked, but for the most part he made the right decision. A forced pass resulting in an interception could have cost LSU the game.

QB: 11-19 3 TDs, I give it a B+
RB: 29 attempts 149 yards, I give it a C+ with how talented they are
WR: I give it an A, when they were called upon besides that one drop early by TT, they looked sharp
OL: Looked tired and out of sinc, D

DL: Besides Nevis and Downs they were bad, F+
LB: When they didnt drop back way to far they played great but they dropped back deep alot so C-(and the only reason there not a D is because of Jacobs pick six)
DBs: PP was a beast, CJ was decent but nothing special, they looked in good position but didnt always make the play which they will have to do in the SEC, I give them a C

ST: Looked good minus that one punt which almost got blocked. I give them a B-

Overall with everything taken into account I give the game a C- and thats being generous!!

If you really need to ask what was good about the game, you have a pathetic life. It wasn't pretty and there's lot to work on but good Lord. I should have known better than to log onto this pussy fest of people whining after the game.

yes, we have no lives. LSU looked terrible tonight as a team. If you can't admit it, you're probably a dumb redneck who hasn't even stepped inside of Tiger Stadium.
