Why does ESPN love Tim Tebow and the Gators (mostly tebow) so freaking much?! I know he's the Heisman winner and all but when I watch him on ESPN, I can't figure out whether Tebow or ESPN is kissin more arse...
On another note...if I have to hear him explain how he went to Thailand, did missions here, there, spoke at a jail, had lunch with Jesus, saved some babies from a burning building...I might puke. but that's just my opinion...
Maybe he is one of the greatest players right now...and don't get me wrong I think what he does with his missions and stuff is GREAT, god bless him, I'm just so tired of hearing about it every time he's on tv.

Has Les Miles made an appearance on "College Football Live" yet? I don't think so.
I mean, he's only the freakin' head coach of the damn strrongest team in the whole damn country

It's becoming quite tedious.

It is about money. There are 19.5 million potential viewers in Florida. The same goes for the love affair with Texas, which has 24 million viewers.

It may be about ratings, but Tebow is a darn good football player AND good guy. I know he gives us fits sometimes, but give him credit.

You mentioned it in your post. He is the Heisman winner. First sophomore to ever win it. Of all the things they hype, this is probably the most legit.

Look, the media goes overboard with anyone popular these days. ESPN is no different. Of course they're going to exploit the Heisman Trophy winner. They're using the guy for their own advantage. I have no problem with Tebow getting the exposure. Someone is going to to get it and I'd rather him than someone like Mark Sanchez, who hasn't accomplished squat.

I totally agree. It would be much more interesting for them to be saying he was questioned in a counterfit money ring, or getting arrested for fighting, or missing team meetings. Where does he get off being such a good person? That's boring.

Agree. And is seems we bitch too much about the media giving too much attention to thugs and such, so I don't mind Tebow getting so much coverage.
When we mop their a$$ on October 11th, he will start getting alot less attention.

Amidst all the thug 'n drug stories that seem to come out of college football, Tebow is a PR person's dream. And frankly, what's wrong with a star athlete who keeps his nose clean, does charitable work and doesn't have a raging ego? Besides, who gives a shite about how much knob polishing he gets from ESPN? The only thing I care about Tebow is watching the Tigers hand him and the Gators an L. That's a tall order this year, but I'm hopin' ....
