I disagree, fat is fat, and JR has more fat than 15%

Exactly, thats not bad at all. Jamarcus is a beast.

I find it difficult to believe he is at 15% and still weighs 280 lbs. Maybe a little PR fudging? But who cares, if he gets his weight down, it's obvious someone will take him at the minimum. And he would surely deserve a tryout at that point.
But even better, if he gets his weight really down (around the 240-50 area), I could see there being a small bidding war over this guy.

If he was 20% or so at 309 (or 311), whatever it was, how is this so hard to believe?

30 pounds off of 300 is 10% total weight - if half of that was fat, that's right at a 5% reduction in bodyfat, although the calculations are a little more complicated than that, they are not ludicrous or impossible on their face.

He wasn't. And he was right at 320 lbs. You gonna have to think of another fictional fat calculation to prove your point, sorry

He's a legit 6'6" with a huge frame. 281 isn't too far off from a good weight for him.

Huh? How tall was the the Human Marsh mellow, Jared? Lorenzen?

He was 6'3" and weighed 288 at the combine.

Jamarcus was 6'6" and weighed 265 at the combine and his playing weight was around 275, so the guy was correct when stating 281 isn't too far away from a good weight for him.

He can't be that big, from what I gather. They questioned his ethic for being at that "playing weight" so IMO he must get substantially under that...maybe back around the 260ish area. It's just better for him to get back to being an athlete instead of making the league "accept" that he's ok at a higher weight. Remember, they hold all the cards right now, not him.
Not hating on the guy, I personally hope the best for him but its his thinking that worries me.

BS! I suspect it's primarily the low amount of available funds in his bank account and the "Want" for a job. All those first pick millions have suddenly vanished and it's panic time.

How the frick do you know where he is at financially? He probably took home $10 million+, and that is after taxes and agent. I doubt he is broke from buying toys and sports equipment for kids around Mobile. Why do you assume he is broke?

How much did JaMarcus weigh his last year at LSU?

255?

I remember JaMarcus being pretty nimble his last year. He wasnt as fast Flynn or Ryan P. But still moved well for his size.

Needs to get back to his college weight imo. HOpefully a team signs him at 270 ish.....but he still needs to work towards about 260 MAYBE.

260 according to lsusports but I'd bet with was closer to 275 during the season.

Getting to that level isn't enough regardless because once he shifts from working out to impress people to get a job he will shift to the actual job of being a QB and will naturally put some weight back on. So he needs to be lower than what he plans on playing at.

Not true, a lot of players lose weight during the season.
