Win BIG 12=Not relevant preseason and I believe that you are ranked #20? which means that the winner of the Big 12 when it's all said will be ranked 20? You keep digging!!

Ok... clearly you can't be this stupid... Starting at #20 + winning the 2nd best conference in the nation does not = finishing at #20. Please, for the love, pull your head out.

On a serious and non hostile note, why are TCU players quitting? and why now? is there something going on inside the University that would make all these guys all of sudden decide that football isn't for them? I'm not saying it's bc of LSU before you go full retard I seriously am curious.

You know what amuses me the most about TCU fans? The fact that they think beating some plodding Big Ten mediocrity in the Rose Bowl proved that they were a "legitimate power."

It was fricking Wisconsin. WISCONSIN.

TCU was a 7-6 team last year in a middling conference.

the preseason rankings are based on where the "experts" think a team will finish. I don't always agree with them, but since you brought up you were picked to win the BIG12 (not the 2nd best conference) and your team is, in preseason rankings, ranked 20 that means that they are picked to win the Big 12 and finish #20.

Watch your step because I dropped some knowledge!

Where would TCU's program be positioned if they were in the SEC: top tier, mid tier, or bot tier? I say somewhere between bot and mid.

The guys that quit:

Tayo Fabuluje: Started at BYU, transferred here bc his family convinced him to be closer to home, now is transferring back to BYU bc that's where he's wanted to be all along. Wasted 2 years of eligibility bc he couldn't make up his mind.

Joel Hasley : Started slipping back on the depth chart after racking up the 2nd most tackles on the team last season. Told Coach P he was "ready to retire from football", so his heart just wasn't in it anymore, and he's already got 1 degree and is about to finish up a second.

Michael Thompson : He's had a bum knee since he arrived on campus, and kept getting bigger. Knee issues compounded w/ him eating himself out of football just made it impossible for him to make it physically.

BIG12 (not the 2nd best conference)

You're right. According to math and science, the Big XII was the #1 conference in college football last season.

Check their stat lines the last, oh, 5 or so weeks leading up to the Rose Bowl. Also, never said we're a legitimate power. Just stating that we're not a pushover like most of you boudin-for-brains keep thinking.

a) I don't really keep up with the comings and goings of cbs.com bloggers, so I don't really care who wrote it.

b) Whoever wrote whatever article doesn't change the rankings that Sagarin's system came up with.
