The whole suspension is kinda shotty to begin with. The university has a VERY strict alcohol policy that says there will be consequences for any student under 21 who's found to have alcohol in their room on campus. I got my roommate in trouble my freshman year for the handle of Maker's I had in the closet and got busted by the RA. We both got put on "campus probation", and any athlete that gets busted has an automatic suspension from participation.
Now, I'm sure there was NO WAY it was Devonte's alkyhol (
), but apparently the university is investigating the situation further to determine what the actual case was. (aka one of our star defensive players needs to play against LSU so lets see if we can let this slide). I still think the suspension holds, but we'll see what happens.

Yeah I've been on KFc for a while (since 08), but didn't really start posting a lot until 2 years ago. We've got our fair share of delusional fans for sure. There's one called thefroghorn that got started earlier this year, basically a bunch of people who got sick of the owners at KFc (nothing like some internet fan forum drama, amirite???) that I'll post on every now and then. HornedFrogBlitz (Scout) is a good site too, but I didn't feel like paying for membership so I don't go over there very often.

I hope he does play. The idea is to try to change the guys who make bad decisions and allow them to learn from it. Neither the media or the fans need to know what goes on behind closed doors from a disciplinary standpoint and I trust that additional discipline is taken in most cases because of the impact it has on the school. Both he and Hill were dismissed for at least 3 months from the football program. During that time, they still had to attend class and meet certain requirements before being reinstated. Once reinstated, remaining with the team is dependent on the decisions the players make going forward.

If you are looking to join one of our sites, I'd recommend HFB or KFc. Just more action going on. FrogHorn is kind of a weird place right now, but a few of us have dual citizen ship there and KFc, and HFB costs $, so take that for what it's worth.

To be clear, Fields was never dismissed from the program. He's just had this suspension hanging over his head for about 3 months. I know a couple coaches and a few guys involved with the training/equipment staff, and they said it's really been weighing on him. The university as a whole is being really tight lipped regarding what actually happened, but from everything I've heard, it was a random room inspection by an RA and they found some alcohol in the room (Lord forbid a college student has some beer in the fridge), so I have no clue what to expect as far as the suspension being lifted or not.
I will say that I hope it does, from a selfish fan perspective. The dude is a freaking terror and would really change the dynamic of our DL for that game. Our LB corps is WEAK WEAK WEAK so we're gonna need all the help we can get along the front lines.
