Clark had a big performance over the weekend, helping the Tigers to a 5-0 weekend, including two top 15 wins over No. 13 Oklahoma St. She hit .667 for the weekend with four hits, three runs scored, two home runs, five RBI and eight walks. She recorded a 1.667 slugging percentage and a .857 on-base percentage. Clark recorded the game-winning RBI against No. 13 Oklahoma State on Friday evening.

Pleasants first weekend as a Tiger couldn't have gone any better as she led the entire SEC in batting average over the weekend at .692. She finished with a 1.077 slugging percentage and a .765 on-base percentage. She was 9-for-13 with two doubles, a home run, five runs scored, four RBI and four walks. She recorded a hit in every game of the weekend, including her first career home run to walk-off No. 13 Oklahoma State, 3-2, on Saturday.

Clark and the freshmen this week played as well as you could opening weekend.

Pitching looks sharper too. Looking forward to seeing how this teams shapes up with more experience!

Congrats to Taylor and Georgia

I am surprised our big hitters are not hitting....but the team is going to be great....I don't like the rule change for our slappers.."any part of the foot out of the box is an out" the new building should have us ahead of most teams, but maybe it was just completed.....I think we will go further than expected.....

It was bizarre, Stewart showed some signs of life but I think she gets going soon. The slapper rule makes it almost impossible to hit those outside pitches without going over the line. She did well hitting outside pitches last year but its opening weekend so there will be some rust.

Andrews, Sunseri, Doyle and Stewart went a combined 6-46 this weekend (4 of those hits came on the last day vs FAMU) I just highly doubt they continue to hit like that. It was weird, I was not even worried or remotely concerned with that group coming into this weekend.

I like what Pleasants and Briggs are bringing to our team a lot. Clark has been a wonderful surprise early I thought she would hit more than she did last year but is certainly living up to her hype/potential early.

We didn't really get so see what Calland could do with base runners but she hit the ball very well. If she continues to hit she will get more and more time.

This weekend is a big opportunity playing the cajuns twice. Facing Kleist will tell us a lot more about this team.
