when i took my daughter a few years ago, i sat on the complete opposite side of the field
taught her the alma mater and hey, fighting tigers on the jet ride over, let her pick the rental car, walked all over the campus to buildings where i studied, showed her the stately oaks and broad magnolias, visited mike's habitat, tailgated with friends, bought a ton of LSU stuff at the bookstore, ate brunch at the chimes on sunday, bought more LSU stuff.

When I took my son to his first LSU game at this age it was the triple overtime loss to Arky in '07. Hell, he wanted to go in to the stadium early so we did. He watched the entire game and when we finally lost that game he just cried. I think we were in death vally for 7 hours! We DID have a blast.
