Tailgating Scene in Lexington

Long time reader, first time poster...
Flying out of DFW tomorrow morning, never done the UK trip before... Keeneland is supposed to be the big party but it seems far from Commonwealth. Any other scenes worth checking out?
Restaurants, bars, honky's etc also appreciated. Geaux!
