TAF Purple Jackets

I've notice that some of the "supporters" of LSU football wear a certain Purple Jacket from the TAF...Does anyone own one? Know someone that owns one? Know how much you have to actually donate to get one? I understand it is probably a good amount and I probably won't be able to get one...just curious.

I know one. It's not all about you "giving" your own money to LSU to actually receive a purple jacket. If you can "raise" the money from other supporters, you can get one.

I really don't know what the magic number is. I don't know if it is a cumulative number or if it's how much money you can raise yearly or what? I know he has one, and has done a whole lot for LSU by fundraising. I'm sure he gives alot of his own money, but he mainly got one through fundraising.

I asked one of them and the way he seemed he obviously didnt want to answer and my brother asked one of the other guys and he told him "if you have to ask you dont wanna know, its one of those things you arent wanting to get but it just happens if the check is right"

I'm pretty sure not all TAF donors live in Baton Rouge, but even if they did, is that so much worse in living in the most dangerous city in America?

It is cumulative. Not that outrageous to think people have given LSU over 100k during their lifetimes. Notice most of the purple jacket crew are over the age of 50.
