TAF Priority Points question

In the past there was some base amount of points you got for a $100 annual donation, but now it looks like it's just a certain amount of points per $1,000 donated with no "base" bonus at the $100 level. Did they change this structure from last year?

Yes, it was completely changed starting for 2022. LINK

TAF has also simplified the priority point calculation process by merging the former multiplier system and bonus point structure. This new format will provide a simplified process for donors while also better aligning with the current needs of LSU Athletics. There are now only five different calculations:
1x point per $1,000 for all donations to the Tradition Fund, Premium Seating contributions, LSU Foundation, LSU Alumni Association, LSU Health Sciences Foundations, and the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation.
2x points per $1,000 for all donations to Booster Clubs, Excellence Funds, and Philanthropic Funds outside of Capital Projects, the AD’s Excellence Fund, or Scholarship Endowments.
4x points per $1,000 for all donations to Team TAF, which directly support LSU student-athlete scholarships.
5x points per $1,000 for donations between $25,000 - $99,999 towards Capital Projects, the AD’s Excellence Fund, or Scholarship Endowments (pledged over a 5-year period).
6x points per $1,000 for donations of $100,000 or more towards Capital Projects, the AD’s Excellence Fund, or Scholarship Endowments (pledged over a 5-year period).

That's a shame. No way now for the little, consistent donors to get enough points to get TAF tickets for the good bowl games.

Yep. LSU in general stopped care about the average LSU fan many years ago.

Unless you have had good football season tickets since 2002 when LSU started requiring donations for season tickets and you actually got TAF points for those donations I wouldn’t worry about TAF points. You’ll never have enough to matter unless you plan to donate big money.

This is me. I stopped my $100 donation this year. I have to imagine it does not make a dent into their budget, but I am standing strong.
