In all seriousness, it's a message to Thidodaux regarding all the Auburn crap. And Thibodaux is not Baton Rouge, New Orleans, West Monroe, or Ruston. TAF is clearly, here, telling Thidodaux that they've caused some damage, but we can inflict 1,000 times what they have done to us. This sucks for all of the Thib kids who love and want to be LSU one day. Maybe now, loyalties will be toward LSU -- the flagship institution -- and not Auburn.
Or I am just making all this shite up.
You conclude for yourself.

Fact and ONLY reason for canceling:
The local Chapter representatives didn't feel they could bring the numbers without Les Miles. This is well known at this point, they have been very vocal.

How many Thibodaux/Houma kids have played at LSU in the last 30 years?

Ragoo's going to get to the bottom of it

A lot. Don't be a douche.
There are a handful of problem people in Thibodaux but that place bleeds purple and gold. This had nothing to do with Greg Robin$on or $ean Nel$on and everything to do with selling tickets.

If Thibodaux supported LSU....
TAF: Les, don't forget the TAF Tiger Tour in Thibodaux.
Les: Sure, definitely will be there. Let me make sure my schedule is clear.
Reality....
TAF: Les, don't forget the TAF Tiger Tour in Thibodaux.
Les: Man, I'd love to, but I have other plans.
TAF: We'll send the King Air for ya.
Les: Thanks fellas, but I really can't make it.
Don't blame Les one bit. You try a bit harder to make certain events when you feel that the other people involved are trying hard too.
For example, there's a festival in south Louisiana where there is a boat parade of sorts. In this parade are a king's and queen's boat. These are typically 150-200 foot work boats (very expensive to "barrow" for a day). One of the head guys of the festival has good connections and could procure these boats for free. Well, his grand daughter wasn't chosen as queen. Guess what happened that year. Hmmmmm, seemed like all the work boats were busy that weekend. Of course those works boat were available, he just didn't "try" as hard to get them.
that's life for ya!

Considering CLM's sister just passed away last week in a traffic accident, I wouldn't think he probably feels all that up to going to a bunch of speaking engagements around the state. People can look into all of this from whatever angle they so desire. Then, they can get pissed, be happy, plant Auburn conspiracies or whatever else comes to mind.
Les just lost his sister, and family comes first before any job or speaking engagement.

That's a valid point, however, Thibodaux was canceled before that accident occured. It's just being reported now.

TAF could give a shite how many recruits an area produces. All they care about is dollar signs. I can guarantee you that the Houma/Thibodaux area produces enough donation, ticket, concession, royalty and now parking money to merit a visit from Les. Maybe it is just one of those situations where they feel that since they already have this area on lock down that they don't have to send their big dogs down.

To some of the posters making absurd statements about Louisiana people South of Baton Rouge, is there any particular reason why you feel some sort of aire of superiority?
Having lived in both places, the difference between "peoples" is far less than what you might ignorantly imply.
Disrespecting a very loyal part of the state is plainly stupid.

Sounds like Louisiana isn't getting rid of the good ol' boy system any time soon.
