T or F...the deeper LSU gets in the tourney, the greater Alleva's chances are to be fired

Let's say LSU makes it to Elite 8, Final 4, or even the championship game...do you guys see this putting more pressure on the BOS/JBE to oust Alleva in favor of keeping Wade (we all know this basketball season/run is 100% accredited to Wade)? Or will they try to spin it as more of an accomplishment to Alleva as athletic director and the hiring of Wade?

My heart says true, but my head thinks that these incompetent fricks we have running LSU will always try to save face no matter what.

False. They keep Aleeva, hire Benford. It's a lose lose

This would have me questioning the power of mob mentality. Especially if they make it to the Final 4. I think you would see riots around the campus, if they let Wade go after a Final 4 appearance.

Your facts and reasoning are backwards.

If LSU loses yesterday, Alleva is gone. If LSU loses tomorrow, LSU probably still fires him. If LSU wins and makes it to the final four, Alleva's chances of being fired decrease

Sweet 16 or better is a victory for Alleva. He gets to say "I told you so" and promote Benford (our guys was here all along). He's devious.

why does anyone think alleva is gone? the governor supports him and only one booster has publicly come out against him. the rest of is message board rumor and innuendo.

Nahhh...I see it the other way around. And anybody with an smidgen of common sense that watches LSU basketball would know that Wade is solely 100% responsible for this success. Especially if we make a deep run in the tourney.

Like that "mob" protest march?

As if there area any rational people left out there. The deeper LSU goes into the tournament, the weaker Wade's position becomes.

Please explain why? So Alleva can fire him and promote Benford and go back to Johnny Jones 2.0 and bottom tier of SEC basketball? Everyone knows this success is 100% on Wade...period. So I would think the further LSU goes in the tourney would strengthen Wade's case.

False. The only reason this team is playing so well is because of the leadership of Joe Alleva

I don't necessarily think this is true, Gray. Wade put this team together so he still gets a ton of credit for identifying and getting the talent in BR. Obviously he needs to do it without getting caught talking about it on the phone. But, I don't know that I agree with the idea that the further LSU goes in the tournament without him then the more it looks like LSU doesn't need him as much.

I really don't understand why everybody is so obsessed with Joe Alleva getting fired. Is he handling this terribly? Yep. Was commenting to reporters about the situation after the game yesterday stupid as frick? Yep. But he's not getting fired. He's doing exactly what the powers that be want to do, why would they fire him for it? His JOB right now is to make a case for firing Will Wade with cause so as to save the school millions of dollars on a buyout, not making the fans happy. Time to grow up and look at things from a grownup perspective.

So can't we just enjoy the fricking tournament and stop whining? We're in the dance for the first time in years, and unless things turn around for Will Wade real quickly, we might not be back for a few more. Enjoy the ride. Soon enough the season will be over and everyone will have plenty of time to bitch and moan.

LSU hired a guy to win at all costs, and that's what Wade tried to do. He fricked up and got caught, it happens. But there's a price for getting caught, and he and the entire program are probably both going to pay a price for it. He's going to lose his job, and we're going to lose our coach. Hopefully the situation won't get worse and the school won't be sanctioned, but that won't keep either of those consequences from occurring. Downvote me all you want, but any reasonable adult knows I'm right.

So let's enjoy the moment and cheer for a run, which we're perfectly capable of making! Let's ride!!!

Alleva and FKA need to be fired. That's pretty much it.

False, though I still don’t think his contract gets renewed this summer under any scenario.

Because at this point, everyone knows it's either Alleva or Wade.
