Well, the something I read here in the Rant from a poster was that 3 hours before game time LSU players/player confronted the LSU staff with their/his own idea bout who should start/play when/how long.
If you wish to buy into that, knock yourself out.
Personally, I think a player would have to be almost brain dead to pull such a dumb arse move at that point in time.
Me...I'm more into the idea that Bama just stuffed LSU players/coaches, but hey...whatever floats our individual boats.
