Careful. The mob has brought extra nooses for troublemakers like yourself.

I am not calling for Les Miles to be fired. If it happens I will look at it as an opportunity and won't cry but we can do much worse than Miles.
Granted Miles has some major flaws I am not going to argue that! But also admit that he has some major pluses too.
Plus column. Generally has surrounded himself with quality assistant coaches. Keeping Miles means keeping Chavis. Recruits as well as anybody. Players like him.
List out all the negatives and they can be fixed IF we hire a good OC and let him do his job. Clock management, play calling etc.
If Miles gets fired how many verbal commits do we lose?
Now think about this. How many coaches has LSU had that were better than Les Miles. Not many. Sure many are better at X's and O's but they all ended up having their faults too... just different faults.
I don't want to go through another Archer through Denardo/Hallman streak where the LSU program gives back all the strides that we have made.
Ideally we fix the broken parts with with a new OC or even with GC and move ahead with a team loaded with young talent.

there are a sufficent amount of mind-guards working for both sides.
and perhaps the most important job of a coach is to unite a fanbase, something that has become overlooked here in our program. Les has done nothing but divide divide divide.

He's done a little more than win, he's made LSU the laughing stock of college sports.
LSU or himself? Most state that "despite LSU facilities, talent, etc. Miles...." or "In spite of Miles, LSU continues to win". So I do not believe LSU is the laughing stock, it is Miles himself.

Watching that clock wind down, and witnessing LSU literally self-destruct during the final 30 seconds is seared into every Tiger fan"s brain. Forever.
Yep. And it was so the wrong time and place for it. So soon after the Ole Miss disaster so it was fresh on everyone's mind, and at home so everyone could witness it personally.

It's over for LM.
Agreed. I honestly don't think there is anything he can do to regain the support of the fans or the respect of anyone outside the program, such as opponents, media, etc. Even if he went undefeated and won the NC (which will obviously not happen this year or any other year), the stain of these moronic moments will never be washed away from his legacy. He will go down in history as the dumbest LSU coach ever except for Curley Hallman, no matter how much he wins.

It was last season, too.
No. After last season, he still had some of the fan base. Had he turned things around and fielded a good team this year, he would have kept them and regained some. Maintain that consistently for a couple of more years and he would have been back in everyone's good graces and had respect from everyone across the nation. But, instead, he came back with more of the same, so now his fate is sealed.
He will be fired as LSU head coach BEFORE he does any of the following:
--beat Florida
--beat Alabama
--win a division or conference championship
--begin the 2013 season.
Guaranteed.

I support Miles. Sure I question his choices sometimes. But I have questioned many coaches decisions in the past also. Every coach looks foolish from time to time. I would be willing to bet Miles would look a lot less foolish if it wasn't for the complete morons surrounding him.
At some point some of the B.S. that goes on has to be directed towards someone other than the coach. Sounds like a bunch of damn Liberals in here. Next we're going to hear that 9/11 was orchestrated by Miles.
Honestly I hear whining about Miles runs an undisciplined team. shite! At this level he should not be wasting time coaching idiots not to false start. I played O-line, TE, and D-line thru school. I learned long before high school to not move before the ball was snapped. I also learned that when the ball came to me... I should catch it. Miles shouldn't have to still be teaching these things to kids. If he has to teach crap like this at this level, there will be no time to gameplan.
Has Miles made errors? Of course... no shite! Has he gotten a lot of help fricking up? Without a doubt!
There are good things about Miles. He seems to run a clean program. Seems like a high character guy. Both of which we cant say about our last a-hole coach. Miles also seems like a great recruiter. And he does seem like he does correct things from one season to another (obviously not all things tho)... for instance. Our Defense and O-line play (blocking but not penalties) has drastically improved.
I think if he makes it to next year he will do something about the offense. Hopefully a new O.C. that he can trust enough to let have full command of the offense... and a new QB they are confident enough with to run a full offense.

3 losses per year average is not amazing.
Saban had a 9-2 regular season in 04, and now everybody talks like that was just a terrible year that Miles had to save us from.

at this point, its over for les. even if it were all him the rest of the year, and we did go undefeated, everyone would assume it was the talent winning.

I want to stab Miles after about half of our games. But there is something about him I like. He's really hard not to like. He is who he is - that's it.
I was hoping Crowton was going get the axe today - so we could give Gonzales a shot. ??? Looks like we'll have to wait until the end of the season -which is really a shame.

Because you lost respect for a person because of on field crap that he doesn't 100% control of. A human being. That's what prompted my first response. He's not a murder or anything like that. He's just a coach. How hard is it to understand my response. How sad is it that you can't respect a person for being a person just cause of some "football stuff" that happened that you happen to dissaprove of.
It's only football people. No need to hang anyone

Exactly.
If LSU wants to move forward with another coach.. okay... but it HAS to be done correctly. A protracted coaching search typically leads to disaster. They better have someone or two in mind and know that they have a 90% chance of getting him and him staying.

Exactly. For some reason people have a hard time acknowledging his positives and focus entirely on his weaknesses.
Let's face it, in terms of historical power bartering, Bama has some major chips in their favor. Saban is a tremendous coach and recruiter, but he's got a lot of things at Bama that he wouldn't have had here, so there's no saying that by him being here he has the same success.

I respect Miles for being a dedicated father and husband and for being a contributing member of society. I do not respect him as a football coach.

Thats a silly comment. Sometimes you don't really know what you have till you start working with people. Often the people you hire don't quite live up to expectations. If happens. You might not intentionally go out to hire a moron but sometimes thats what you get.

That's asinine. Florida is not a very good team this year. I don't think we win that game, but we definitely have a shot.
They are similar to us last year. Solid defense, porous offense with no identity or consistency. So they rolled up on Kentucky's pathetic defense. Who cares?
There's plenty Miles can do to keep his job. If we win out, why the hell would we fire him? I don't think that happens, but for you to say there's NOTHING he can do is plainly silly.
