Super Regional vs Omaha

I know a lot of discussion lately has been about 6game Regional vs the new Super Regional Format.
What I was thinking just now while watching the O'Reilly Factor (No Spin Zone), is that we should probably just stop Regionals. I say Omaha becomes a 16team Tourny but is played like the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. In that different regions host smaller Torney's making and meet in one place for a final four.
Would make going to Omaha mean more and more games played at college ball parks.
What you guys think?

If that was the case, last year's national champ Fresno State wouldn't have even made the tourney. I like the 64 team format. I think I like the 6 team regional a little better, but it shouldn't be cut down IMO.

Horrible, horrible idea. Only letting 16 teams compete is absurd.

64 teams is the right number. Just make the tournaments more interesting and eliminate the if necessary games on Monday. They suck, the players and the fans hate it.

Eliminating the "if necessary" game would be pretty unfair to the team that is undefeated if they were to get beat by a one loss team. That would take away the fairness of the whole regional. And who hates it?

I mean playing them on Monday, not having an if necessary game. The game is sometimes needed, but on MONDAY?

It always had been until they changed the Regional game format a couple of years back.

They would have to move out of Omaha to accommodate 16 teams, IMO.

Why would they change it again to what it was just a couple of years ago?
The "if necessary" game was on that Sunday night until a couple of seasons ago.

About what? The fees are very reasonable for the convenience, and considering LSU charges what it does for concession stand items, its not the first thing people who bitch should care about.

Well, you can't play three games on Sunday. You want somebody to have to play three games in one day? Really?
