I'm not the one who said this

You're idea of a successful season is winning every game you are favored in and winning the BCS. Not too many succesful teams out there then.

Yes, upsets happen every year. You just don't call it a success when you're the team being upset.

I never said any such thing. I did say losing games you're expected to win may negate you the right to call it a successful season.

Go ahead and link me to when you said this.

The above quote does not equal this

No, see Bama the past two years. They were upset along the way and still won two national titles.

However if those upsets prevent you from achieving team goals, and championships should be LSU's goal every year, then they did cause you to have a less than successful season IMHO.

no shite Captain Obvious.

but being upset does not equal an unsuccessful season...which is what you originally stated

I think the two camps agree far more than you think. 90 % of us are talking around each other in circles in basic agreement, and the other 10% of either camp, are not worthy of engaging.

Wow! That's as well as it could be said!

That quote was used within the scope of LSU's 2012 season.

I think it does when discussing a preseason number one.

We all know 2012 wasn't "successful", we didn't achieve our goals. That doesn't mean the team wins inspite of Miles.

Also 1 "unsuccessful" season doesn't negate the program's success, which Miles has maintained.

When most sports analysis joke about your coach and program, which they do about Miles, something really is wrong with the coaching.

I am in Columbia, SC, now ... and the USCe/Clemson dialy sports talk shows are clownin' the shiite out of Miles and LSU for losing to Clemson. Mostly clownin' Miles.

I'm not certain how you view success but achieving goals is first and foremost IMO. Fail to do so and success is not a word I would use to describe the result.

1 season doesn't negate the success that Miles has at this school. Success that you refuse to credit Miles for, but instead make comparisons to Larry Coker.

no there's not. Just a few idiots want him fired. Most just want a new OC and/or an improved offense.
