LSU will not be able to stop UA running game. Alabama is sound up front, LSU will have to force 3rd and Longs so the D-line can be a factor. UA will do the majority of their passing on 1st and 2nd downs where they can use the playaction. UA will stop LSU's run and make the 1 dimensional, and LSU doesn't have the passing game to consistly beat UA through the air. UA 28- LSU 7

So what is so different this year from last year, where Bama ran for just barely over 100yds and LSU ran for more than 225?

the team that makes less mistakes is going to run away with the W... that being said, LSU plays mistake-free football

the tigers are gonna put the L on Alabama, deal with it

I often see people on here making fun of those who have a small number of posts. I am interested in learning at which they began.

Did they start at 1000 or 2000?

How did they avoid the embarassmnet and obvious shortcoming of a first post?

This will be a great game and probably won't be decided until the 4th. However, we are alot different this year. The D is much improved and they have had an extra year. They make adjustments alot better and quicker because their more experienced.

Again, I think this game will go down to the wire but people need to stop think last year's D is the same as the one we have this year.

but UA I believe is 10 points better.

of course you do, like many Bama fans you are delusional. LSU was not all that good in 2009, lost our starting QB and top RB in the game at Bama and still only lost by 9. This LSU team is much, much better. They only way either team wins by more than one score is if there is a defensive or special teams TD late in the game.

Maybe your defense is better...your offense is not better. Our defense is much improved as well...and our offense is a whole new animal.

That's speculation. Neither offense has opened up the playbook too much because we haven't had to. Our offense has passed alot early in games to get AJ some confidence and we've had some guys step up like both TEs (Williams and Smelley), White, Gibson, and Bell. All of those guys have made plays so we do have playmakers to stretch the field and AJ has performed really well so far this year.

Y'all have an efficient offense but so do we. We'll have to wait to see who's is more efficient.

Yep. And right now I'd rather focus on your brethren to the east.

Really want to see LSU punish them first...then turn their attention to you folks.

I can't wait for that game. If AU scores more than once, I'll be very surprised. I just want to take care of UT and come out healthy so both of us will be undefeated come Nov 5th.

Give me your reasons why LSU will win

the most important stat outside of scoring in football:

turnover margin.

LSU blows Bama away in turnover margin, and will win this game for that reason

Keep that in mind Alabama's only turnovers happened against teams we were never in danger of losing too. Against everyone else we are 11-0 (+2.2 average to margin). We are 8-0 in the last 4 games in turnovers. LSU, by contrast, is 9-0 in the last four games in turnovers. Even in the area where they are supposedly a step above us... not really.

What I find interesting is that LSU's offense is very similar to Alabama's offense in 2008.

LSU 2011 369.1 yds/G
Alabama 2008 355.8

Jefferson is the game changer on offense

and average 38 points a game (1 less than bama) because they eat up clock and play on a short field most the game. but feel free to jerk it at total yards because they obviously determine the outcome of games. lsu is 3rd in the league in 3rd down conversions, 3rd in first downs, 1st in the league in sacks allowed, 1st in pass efficiency, 1st in time of possession, 1st in red zone % (also 1st in the country), 1st in turnover margin (also 1st in the country), 1st in fewest turnovers (also 1st in the country). but yeah, our offense hasn't improved at all and hasn't controlled the game

Whatever they do, they better have a safety net. If LSU commits to the line too much, Richardson and Lacy are big/fast enough to break containment easy. I think it's like 70% of rushing yards coming AFTER contact. Jus' sayin'
