75%???

i don't think we did anything until about 2 min were left in the 3rd

i just say 75% to mean the first 3 quarters, but a more accurate number is 71.6667% of the game

At anypoint in LSU's career, it should NEVER be a close game with a Sunbelt team.

for the vast majority of last night, it wasn't close

the sunbelt team was dominating LSU

1. 2004 LSU, as a program, was not established like 2008 LSU is. Saban was still building a program and it didn't have the depth to deal with losing 3 key juniors and a bunch of seniors. 2008 does have that depth

2. 2008 Troy DOMINATED LSU FOR 75% OF THE GAME. 2004 Troy kept it close in a sloppy game where we turned it over. at no point did 2008 get dominated by 2004 Troy.

considering your orginal argument.

so you'd take 2004 LSU over 2008 LSU in a talent competition?

which would you take?

i don't want you to miss this without giving an answer.

your so sure the 08 team was more talented yet its the team that got dominated...why would you so easily choose that squad over 04. Troy sucks this year and they dont' have demarcus ware like '04.

alright sfp. the coaching was not great, def could use improvment. That what you want to hear??

you saw how good they can be. But how do you get a team up after losing a heartbreaker to the number one team in OT, have no title what so ever to play for, freezing thier arse off in a empty stadium.

But yeah the defense could use better coaching.

no, 2004 had an advantage because Randall didn't make as many costly errors, and Russell was very limited in what they allowed him to do, so he didn't even make that many mistakes. he was just raw.

WR: 2008

We had Bowe, Davis, and Doucet. Much more talented than these guys we have. Lafell is the only one this year who has been somewhat consistent evey game. Plus Skyler Green, and Addai was a good pass catcher out of the backfield.

RB: 2008

debatable. Addai won us a couple games singlehandedly (ie Florida) and Scott was a no show against them this year.

Did the best I could as far as the 2004 starters. Anyway, those saying the talent this year is so far superior to the 2004 team should compare them first.

no

i want dumbass tepper tigers like bayourant to stop comparing the 2 games. other than our opponent having the same name, the games were completely different. 2004 Troy is like 2008 AU or 2008 MSU, not 2008 Troy

I was at the spring game this year..and I thought the 2nd Oline played better against our first defense better than the 1st Oline did against the 2nd defense. Ya..only spring game...but our Oline will always be pretty good under Miles...just like the defensive backs were always pretty good under Saban.

not his fault we make it obvious when we run and make it easy to stop him

and let's not forget keiland and murphy, who were not used last night for some reason

way to find the one thing in my statement you actually want to answer and miss the actual question.

you just said 08 was more talented all around and you seem to pick them in a talent competition, but your original arguement is talking about an 04 team that played a much more talented troy team and a 08 team that just got dominated for 75 % of the game.

am i reading your responses wrong?

yes

and marcus spears may be the most overrated player in modern LSU history

if TJ could get used like spears was, he'd put up better #s. TJ is also better in coverage than spears was
