Had SRO tickets yesterday. Stood behind the seats behind home plate. Excellent view.

its my preferred spot. well worth it if you dont mind standing. during slow games, if the grandstands arent full after the 5th inning, they let you sit in the empty seats.

SRO is even better now with the new suites. The whole area is in shade now.

One thing I learned early on the first year of the new Alex Box was that the view from the concourse is terrific. That's where I will go, even if I do get a ticket with a seat (usually way down the first base line, past the bullpen). As others have posted, you can move down to unoccupied seats after the fifth inning, when all the bandwagon fans start to leave.
