What are the positives and negatives of each of the coach's units at LSU? Do you miss Searles?

I think it's very obvious at this point.

You mean it is obvious this season. Because the last couple of seasons we have ran the ball just fine with Studrawa.

I can remember us not running the ball very well with Searles was here and everybody wanted to get rid of him.

Not bashing either one, but both have had line problems and both have had good lines.

Maybe some inconsistencies with Searles at times, but there was a solid experienced QB usually able to spread the ball around so it didn't seem like too big of an issue. Now, since we have issues passing down field most of the time, the run is even more important. There's not enough protection for the QB or run blocking. 105th ranked offense in total yards. Don't think Searles was apart of some stats like that against the first 4 easy teams on the schedule. Those stats should be inflated against the easy ones and then the rankings should drop as the tougher teams hit the schedule.

You might be right. I am not a big stat guy.

It just looked like our line was good the last couple of years. and I remember our running game was very inconsistent when Saban was here.

It is just hard for me to bash a coach for his first bad season with us (Coach Stud). Now if our line does not get better or if we this as a trend; that is a different story.

yea, yea, yea. one thing i notice about your posts is that you long for our old coaching staff. guess what, THEY ARE GONE. THEY ARE COACHING ELSEWHERE. you are, without doubt, participating in an exercise of futility.

Searles is the best OLine coach we had, but his philosophy and Miles' philosophy were different so it didnt mesh.
