OK, good defensive outing, made our QB's look like chumps. Great running game. Worried though about our linebackers.
JJ and JL both look like they have looked for the last two years. They get most of their yards on broken plays where they have to take off running. Mettenberger looks like he's going to have the big arm for the deep pass routes.
All in all, LSU 2010 = LSU 2011.
Let's hope for the best; we'll need some (correction: a lot of) luck again to get 11 wins.

You do know we are breaking in a new kicker, right.

I'm going to predict it now...LSU and Stanford in the BCS championship. LSU will win 34-21.

again.... Who said I was talking about this thread in particular. You act like this is first time you have posted.

I am sorry that you are biased... I mean it is pretty evident from your past post as well

You aren't very bright if you believe that I am referring only to this thread.

WOW good memory.... cause it's been a looooooooooooooooooooooong time since I've talked about JJ. Unfortunately it's been so long that your memory fails like your reading comprehension. Please go back several months to my discussions about JJ and see if I ever said JJ was a "good QB" as you stated.

Again as I have already admitted today, I only defend JJ because he was the ONLY QB that could make a play when the ENTIRE offense has been sucking. And that is because of his feet which JL clearly can't do. How is this so hard for you to understand. I also have stated many times that JJ has had a lot of help sucking. But in all of that where am I saying JJ is a "good QB"?

Your reading comprehension sucks arse.

And what exactly makes me biased? Is it because I have not seen any QB play from anyone the past couple seasons to make me think JJ shouldn't be starting? Really? Who exactly is doing so much better than JJ where only a biased person would think JJ shouldn't be playing? JL? Please get your head out of your arse if you think JL has clearly beaten out JJ.

You are a joke. I am done.

I hope he doesn't get in. I think we need score every possible series. We don't need to throw any series away and put JL in.

Now I'd consider it a miracle if JL gets in and completes a first down

2nd worse QB. You forgot Mr. Pick-6.

But they are used to having bad Qb's... remember they did deal with JL already. They were seasoned.

But honestly, I never agreed with some of the d-bags here that made comments about the offense not wanting to play for JJ (paraphrasing).

If you watch the reactions to some of the plays JJ has been making, you can tell they absolutely love JJ.

I will never accept that JL is better. I have never seen it. Even this season when JJ looked horrible... like the 2nd worse LSU QB ever... he sure had a lot of help fricking up.

My favorite on Jefferson:

I'll bet anything he'll be more like a Peyton Manning type QB next year.

I could add more (and I probably will later) but it is obvious anyone who pimped Lee to play last year you called a negatiger/idiot. Although I did notice you throw out "reading comprehension" argument out whenever you get frustrated.

I will update this later, however, I did not have to go back far in your history to find some comments. I mean you dislike Lee you love Jefferson we get it. I do find it funny when people were critical of jefferson you call them negatigers but you yourself are very critical of Lee, guess you are a negatiger as well then.

Coaching matters. Stanford won't be there.

LSU is the same team as last year with some new names. Jefferson still looks terrible making the same bad decisions. Lee looks the same, not knowing when to just throw it away. Mett made some basic slant route throws and I thought the guys in front of me were gonna have an orgasm.

All in all I wasn't impressed with the QB's. The Running game was stellar, as usual. The defense played extremely well, as usual.

Same ole Same ole, just without a short side option.

We didn't get to see much of Mett outside of a few long bombs and nice slant throws. But he has, by far, the best arm and there's no mistaking that. If JJ doesn't step up in the regular season, I will be looking for Mett to get snaps. If he does well, he should start.

Outside of Oregon, Washington, USC..Stanford doesn't have too difficult of a schedule. They very well could be playing for it all.

I am messing with Geaux more because he likes to attack posters who are critical of Jefferson calling them "negatigers" and he himself loves to attack Lee.
Even when Lee performed well last year he was critical of Lee and attacked him and tried to pimp Jefferson blaming the receivers, offensive line, and crowton.

As I said in another thread I did not start watching till second quarter... did not see Lee throw a pass till the 2 minute drill. He actually looked good in the 2 minute drill. From what I did see Jefferson looked similar to last year, he did look improved in that he stepped into his throws more than last year and looked like a more aggressive runner.
However, it is just a practice and still doesn't mean very much. I mean they were wearing no contact jerseys and I hope they still look improved against Oregon when it actually matters.

That looked familiar.
The Spring Game is history. Good thing. No real excitement, nothing impressive in the QB dept. but the running game and defense looked pretty healthy. And the kickers weren't bad (who can top Josh Jasper?) for newbies.
