It’s baffling. It’s like most of LSUs hyped up all conference transfer players just all of a sudden forgets how to be good at football when they come here. Speights was an absolute beast at Oregon St. and then comes here and looks like that shite? What the hell? Lol

Perkins is bigger than Debo was when he was at LSU. He is about Kwon’s LSU size.

Perk is listed at 6’1” 220
Kwon and Debo were both listed at 227. Debo was same height and Kwon was an inch taller.

So no, he isn’t bigger. He’s basically a little lighter. I don’t think his issues vs FSU were physical. He looked lost.

Penn should have been starting since the first play on defense against FL state. He wasn't great last year but solid as a 2nd year player, and was our second leading tackler! Wtf

Kelly is right, the guy needs to learn a position. Now that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t rush the passer more than 7 times.

This

Bedsides go back and look at last year’s stats. Teams had him figured out. He wasn’t getting sacks towards the end of the year. He needs to become an every down player.

He does not move like an NFL player lol

yes he does. When he is able to just let his instincts take over and chase, he is fast and can thump.

56% of his snaps have been in coverage, he looks unsure of what he doing just like the rest of the defense. He is still the only starter yet to be credited with a missed tackle.

Outside of Miss St the schedule is going to get pretty run-heavy. It should make things a little less complicated for the defense hopefully.

So he looks like an NFL player but he can't cover. What?

I saw him get torched on a run play. He looks bad on both sides. I don't know where you're getting he doesn't look slow. He's the definition of slow. It could be instincts and he's not attacking. That probably is part of it because House's scheme sucks. Doesn't change the fact he looks slow.
