People don't realize the rule change on kick offs. Stupid.

Didn't mean to reply to you, but yes I do know the new kickoff rules.

I understand. I was agreeing with you. Anything less than the 25 is a win.

I agree that it is a win but is that 5 to 6 yards worth potentially kicking it out of bounds. The problems out kickers have with executing this strategy seems to make the risk not worth the reward.

the staff looks at all facets of special teams and assigns execution scores. They decide everything based on those scores.

I don't think you can blame gamble for the out of bounds kick. It was a good kick. The MSU return man took a huge risk letting the ball bounce. That ball had several directions it could have bounced . Only one unfavorable to the Tigers . Regrettably that's how it bounced. My guess is MSU coaches told him not to take that chance again

As deep as our ST issues have been. We looked pretty good in coverage, and the punting game was there. The onside kick is disappointing but, it really is a crap shoot. THE KICKOFFS!!! I still don't understand why we continue to give them the ball at the 35 yard line!!!! I get trying to pin a guy deep with the new kickoff rules but, holy smokes if I see another kickoff out of bounds, my TV might take a half dranken miller light to the screen.

And we had 5 uo, two on the line and three back five yards. Classic

Just watched the replay we had 4. Donte Jackson never shifter over and Adams just stood there and watched. It really looked like they shocked when the onside happened.

There are stats you can look at if you wanted. Last night we probably were +20-25 yards

I did look at the stats we saved a total of 19 yards on the three sky kicks that worked. You could argue that it was negated due to the out bounds kick.
