South Carolina gets another one

Mulkey lost GG Banks to SC. There has been 2 maybe 3 good recruits who have chosen SC recently over LSU. This is like Bama & LSU when Saban was at Bama & LSU when Miles was at LSU. Why can’t Mulkey sign a 5 star from out of state every now & then.

Kim was a Hall of Fame National Championship Coach before arriving at LSU. This is no where close to being similar to Les Miles. Les Miles was 28-21 before becoming the LSU HC. GTFO.

Do we really want these players that want to be coddled by a coach instead of held to a standard? We had a few on campus that were obviously disgruntled the last couple of years and the team looked bad at times.

South Carolina beats the shite out of LSU nearly every chance they get. Titles don't matter to these kids when the two best programs have a very lopsided recent history. They're gonna go to the one that still wins titles and also beats the other top program in the country.

What service are you using to decide who is a 5-star?
For the 2025 class, LSU had at least 1 out-of-state 5-star, Divine Bourrage. If you use ON3's ratings, there were 2 more: Grace Knox and ZaKiyah Johnson.
I would say that qualifies as every now and then, either way. And we also have an un-state 5-star commit for 2027, Caroline Bradley.

3 of those were at Baylor. She needs a big girl. She won her only NC at LSU when ahe had Angel Reese

When someone signs it’s announced and normally their recruiting ranking is mentioned. I’m not cutting Mulkey man. But she doesn’t win many recruiting battles with SC.

South Carolina and UCONN spend a lot more NIL money on women's basketball than any other school does. Staley's recruitment pitch of black women against the white people of the world also resonates with some recruits. Mulkey has recruited very well at LSU, but there is no way she is out recruiting South Carolina and UCONN unless you want to put a lot more booster money toward that sport.

Every one of the people I mentioned was also offered by South Carolina.
LSU out-recruited South Carolina in 2025; 2027 is still undecided, but they are currently ranked 6th (SoCar) and 7th (LSU), with only 1 recruit each.

South Carolina is willing to pay them more NL money whereas Lsu has a limit for girls basketball. Maybe South Carolina ought to take some of that money. They’re given Dawn Stanley and put it on the football team.
