Bo Bahnsen (LSU Head of Compliance) is leaving in Mid July.

LSU coming up aces right now, dodged the Gilbert bullet and now bouncing (one way or the other) Bahnsen. LFG!

while I agree that she is part of the problem, these things take time. her types are quick to file suit upon termination, and start singing songs. give Scott a bit of time, and she too will be gone.

for clarity sake, i have zero inside information. just think that Scott will do the right things for the department overall. and Miriam is not good for the department long term.

Miriam should have been fired for her mishandling of the Title IX cases. But so should Verge Ausberry who is far too connected politically to be fired (married to a prominent JBE supporter). He also holds the keys to the closet where LSU keeps their skeletons.

You can't fire Miriam without firing Verge unless you're willing to settle with her in court.

I understand the hate for Bo, though I don't have quite as much of it as most do. I will say, though, that compliance has changed dramatically over the past couple decades and anyone who has been in that role for so long without changing as well is bad for the department. It'll be good to get fresh blood in there especially as schools have to contend with all the NIL stuff coming.

As for who really needs to be fired, Miriam and Verge still need to go. Can't believe they still have jobs at LSU.

These are a lot trickier than Bahnsen. I believe they'll happen eventually, but it has to be done extremely carefully. You don't want either one of those people going scorched Earth on LSU after termination. They know where the bodies are buried.

I think Miriam is the riskier one, Verge wouldn't do anything to hurt LSU and he is still extremely close with the major boosters, Woodward, and politicians. However you can't fire one and not the other IMO.

Depending on what option he takes, he should be retiring at 85% of his last few years average pay

Government workers for you. One of the main reasons Mulkey came back to Louisiana with 15 years in the system and only 5 more to go. That is a nice retirement.
